Backstory
This MIAD and KI furniture collaboration project is to design a line of higher education furniture lines for major commercial manufacturing companies. During the users research, We found distractions are students’ biggest frustration when it comes to working, most students prefer a space where they feel slightly secluded. Also there are limit furniture choices, students have to move chairs around for group discussion and after that the working space is messed up also most students complain about there is no space for storage. After interviewing and observing students, we determined that their unique needs include storage, and privacy for both rest and work.
